DECs & EPCs

DEC

All public buildings with a total floor area greater than 250m² are obligated to have a Display Energy Certificate (DEC) and advisory report. DECs are required to notify how energy efficient a public building is.

The energy rating from A-G is based on the performance potential of the building (fabrics) and its services (heating, ventilation, lighting). The DEC comes with a recommendation report demonstrating how the energy performance can be enhanced.

If you fail to display a DEC and a valid advisory report a fine will be issued.

Our energy management and compliance team can assist with your site surveys, new DECs, DEC renewals and can issue your DEC certificate. Each certificate includes a recommendation report.

EPC

Energy Performance Certificates are a legal requirement under the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations for any building constructed, sold or let after 2008 in the UK.

The EPC provides an energy rating from A-G and is based on the energy performance potential of the property (fabrics) and its services (heating, ventilation, lighting).

Our energy management and compliance team can assist with your site surveys, new EPCs, EPC renewals and can issue your EPC certificates. Each certificate includes an advisory report.
